The suspect was reportedly watching the game with the woman and her boyfriend at the Sonesta Extended Stay Hotel on Winterson Road when an altercation broke out around 9:30 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 12, according to an Anne Arundel County Police Department spokesperson.
It is alleged that the victim got into an argument with her boyfriend when the suspect grabbed the victim by the neck and held a steak knife to her throat threatening to kill her.
The victim was eventually let go and was able to call for help, police say. By the time officers arrived, the victim's boyfriend, as well as the suspect, described as an older white man named "Glen," had disappeared.
